Bernice (Curran) Pender

PENDER, Bernice (Curran). Of Medfield, formerly of Brookline and West Roxbury. Passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, at the age of 97.

Loving mother of Janice Pender and her husband, Brian Walsh, and Eric F. Pender and his wife, Francine, all of Medfield, and the late Stephen W. Pender. Adored “Grammy” to Nicole Dudock and her husband, Garrett, and Alyssa and Ava Pender. Cherished Great-Grammy to Rory, Vivian, and Callan.

Dear sister of Helen “Chickie” Spillane and her late husband, John “Jack”; David Curran and his wife, Judy; and the late Patricia Gallant and her late husband, Eddie, and the late James Curran and his late wife, Mary. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Bell-O’Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline, on Tuesday, October 13th, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning October 14th at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bernice may be made to the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society.
