RITTER, Barbara J. (Carroll). Of Canton, formerly of Brookline, Walpole and Dedham passed away with her loving family at her side after a long illness on December 5, 2022. Loving wife of 49 years to Charles L. "Charlie" Ritter. Devoted daughter of the late Harry J. and Barbara Mae Carroll. Dear stepmother of Charles Ritter of New Mexico, Lynda Kirby and her late husband Paul of Dedham, Robbie and Richard Ritter both of Brookline. Cherished sister of Chris Carroll of Brookline, Thomas Carroll and his wife Anne of Martha's Vineyard, Harry Carroll, Patrick Carroll and his wife Pam all of Brookline, Danny Carroll and his wife Maureen of Norwood/W. Yarmouth, Dottie Carroll of Wrentham, Sheila O'Leary and her husband Tom, and Billy Carroll and his wife Jaclyn all of Walpole. Also survived by her two aunts, Ruth Farrell and Elizabeth "Betty" Lewis as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline on Saturday morning at 9:00 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 – 7:00. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Retired Registrar of Brookline High School.
