Aulton Charlesworth Rose, nicknamed "Bobby" by his family and "Al" by his co-workers and friends, passed away suddenly and tragically due to a heart attack on April 3, 2019 in Boston, MA. He was 59 years old and a resident of Quincy, MA. Aulton was born in Hackney, London, England on April 6, 1959 to Eithel Aulton Rose and Melita Greene, both of whom have predeceased him. Aulton is survived by his sister Jane A. Rose of Florida, brother David F. Rose of California, his nieces Alexa M. Miller and Jadah N. Miller of Florida, Birgit Rose of Florida, who raised Aulton from the age of 14, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Aulton graduated from Randolph High School and Attended Howard University before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1979, and was stationed at Randolph AFB in Texas. Aulton served his Country and was honorably discharged in 1983. Following his return to Massachusetts, Aulton secured employment with Boston University in 1985, where he remained employed for 34 years until his death. Aulton had a love for cars, especially fast cars, and was an avid cyclist. He hand built all of the bicycles in his collection. Aulton enjoyed traveling to Florida for annual family Thanksgiving Holidays. A memorial service for Aulton with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Bell O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington Street, Brookline, MA, 02445, (617) 277-7652.
