Johnson, Andrew Joseph age 62, born in Boston, MA. Beloved son of the late Helen and Wolger Johnson of Brookline, brother of Louise Johnson and her wife Jill Havens of Jamaica Plain and Eric Johnson and his wife Nina Olff of Brookline. Andy passed away peacefully on Dec. 8th surrounded by wonderful care and much love. Andy was born with Downs Syndrome and grew up in Wrentham State School. In his 20's Andy moved into the Boston area community as part of the state deinstitutionalization mandate and spent many happy years in his new environment. His smile and mischievous nature endeared him to all he met. His final years were spent at Beaverbrook Step in Waltham and in lieu of flowers donations can be made in Andy's name to Beaverbrook Step, Inc. 85 Main St Watertown, MA 02472. Memorial service TBA.
