Andrea Elizabeth Still Gray October 15, 1971 – December 29, 2015 Andrea was a force of life…full of energy and full of love for the people around her and a picture of health. Andrea was 44 years old when she passed from this life due to complications of pneumonia. She was the loving spouse of Julie Gray, cherished daughter of Janice (Crowe) Still of Arlington and Stephen Still and his wife Jenny Arnold-Still, adored sister of Hope Still of Birmingham, Michigan. Andrea is also survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Andrea grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan and as an only child was blessed with a gifted level of intelligence and an amazing ability to connect emotionally with everyone around her. Andrea loved Detroit and graduated from Wayne State University with a BA with honors in Cultural Anthropology. After working as a Web designer/producer, she continued her education at Simmons College in Boston with a Masters in Library and Information Science. Andrea worked as an archivist on various projects at Harvard and Radcliffe libraries and served as a Special Collections librarian at the Massachusetts State House. Since 2004, Andrea was a board member of The History Project, a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to documenting and preserving the history of Boston's LGBT community. Her professional career included serving as Director of Operations at a Marketing/Communications Company in Boston and ultimately moving to the role of Account Director for JPA Health Communications. She was an award-winning digital media communications and marketing strategist with uncompromising creative vision and results-driven focus. In 2009, she married the love of her life, Julie Gray, creating an amazing partnership of love, adventure and living life to its fullest. Together, they have traveled the world on bicycling adventures and created wonderful homes in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts and Abiquiu, New Mexico. If you would like to do something to honor Andrea, she was crazy about cycling. She was a frequent patron of Bikes Not Bombs, a local non-profit organization that creates local and global programs to provide skill development, jobs, and sustainable transportation - www.bikesnotbombs.org . Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday January 4, 2016 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM and her funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 5th at the Forsyth Chapel at Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave., Boston, MA. 02130 at 11:00 AM.
